Blocks may show on homepage, everywhere or within topic.
In GL it is not possible to assign a block to a plugin. In the case of a Glossary plugIn there are some blocks linking to BabyLon, Law glossary and more. it do make sense to have these on the left while the Glossary plugin is in the center.

Same story goes for Forum and Contacts, I guess.

Anyway, this is what I did:

1. create a topic named 'glossary'
2. disable group, member and anonymous read access.
3. add to the plugin the statement '$topic='glossary';" in index.php or config.php.

Voila. I do not know if this is a desirable hack. Peut-etre GL can reserve a 'plugin-topic'-name as topic-type to get the behaviour. The plugIn-name could than be found in the path.
