Oi! Sometimes life throws you a curveball... At any rate I have not had much time to test the journal plugin mods. At this point I'm asking for some help from those in the community who wish to use this mod. An alpha version of my mod of the old Journal mod is available on my site. I don't recommend using this on a live site a this point, as I haven't cleaned up the code, but if you have a test site, or low traffic site and would like to help out, that would be great.
The changes at this point are completely visual. At this point I'm looking for issues with installation, as well as general bugs with my changes. Also, any ideas for a next release will be entertained on the forums on my site. Here's the link:

You might want to update your readme in the download to include wha the new feature is. I will try this over next weekend after I get back from a trip. Thanks.
