Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know about a great php linking program called Linker. Check it out and let me know if something like this could be integrated into Geeklog. I think it would be a great feature. Not to mention very useful. Thanks a lot guys, Matthew

Have you seen squatty's integration of phplinks? How does this script compare to phplinks?

bye, Dirk

I'm not sure what the difference are but, I can say that I'm more than pleased with the link system in the 1.3.6RC1 release. It's simple and it’s integrated… nuff' said.

Dirk: I thought Linker was a lot better than the phplinks add-on for earlier versions. It has a ton of good features that make it very 'robust'. But I haven't installed gl 1.3.6RC1 yet (am waiting for a final release because im using it on a public website) so I haven't had a chance to look at the newest linking program that comes with it.

Thanks Squatty, if you think the linking program that comes w/ 1.3.6RC1 can do what Linker can do, then great! Problem solved, lol.

Thanks for answering my question. I look forward to the final stable release of gl 1.3.6!

Ok, cool.
The only other thing I think could help it would possibly be sub-categories, and a 'most popular' section. Not that they are required for any great linking program. They are just 'nicities' (if thats a word) that make it so much better. Just a suggestion..
Thanks again for your help.

Err, there is no forum in 1.3.6. There are a couple of hacks to integrate existing forum packages into Geeklog (use the search functions) as well as unfinished forum plugins, but there's nothing official. I don't think there will be any built-in forum functionality before Geeklog 2 ... bye, Dirk

Ok, I thought I had read somewhere that the newer version of GL would have a forum built in. Must have been meaning 2.
Oh well.. thanks for the note.
