Plugin Submission API Question

plugin_savesubmission_[plugin name] says that it submits to [plugin name]submission. My plugin requires more than 1 table. I can't see how this is going to make a difference though, but i figured I'd check with the experts.
Each individual submission will have an entry in [plugin name]submission of course, but each entry will also have at least one (probably several) entries in each of at least 3 other tables.
Does anyone see a problem with me doing this?
