Some quibbles and an enhancement request: 1) The "Topic" selector drop-down box above should be forced to the user's current section. Several times, I have almost posted in the wrong bucket. If I am already in the "Geeklog" section, I expect the Geeklog topic to be the default. This will cut down on improper section posts fast. 2) Most (not all) CMS article systems have a serious deficiency. A "Key Topic" metadata picklist that allows the user to select one or two topic areas their article relates to. Since any article post can be about many things, this provides a very useful filtering within the section, for finding similar things (and users DO use them). As important, it allows surfing across the sections. The short list of them (or dropdown) could appear at the top of the SUBMIT and COMMENT editing pages. I prefer a list box with multiselect, so I can click all that apply. (They can scroll, so they don't have to eat much real estate). Ideally, the list would have 2 sublists. One global, and one local to the section (global always at top). My very incomplete global list would include: Features & Enhancement Promoting Geeklog Next GL Release Rants and Flames <grin> Kudos and Praise Preferences GL Programming GL Site Design GL Philosophy <Suggest a Key Topic>

Your first request is already implemented in CVS, i.e. will come with Geeklog 1.3.8. bye, Dirk
