Error message while sending email.

My email used to work, since then I have updated pHp and Geeklog, both to the latest greatest. I first noticed when I didn't get submission messages. For a test I logged on to the site and tried to "mail users" I received this error message when I tried to send:
Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 501 badly formated RCPT TO user - no ">" in C:Inetpubwwwrootgeeklogpublic_htmladminmail.php on line 182
Any ideas?
