russian localization

Hi!

sorry for my bad english but here is my problem

I've just downloaded and installed geeklog 1.3.6 and found languages/incomplete/russian.php and decided to install it. (it's my native lang) (i've copied it to languages/ and to choose it

To show charset properly i had to remove " ENC-TYPE='multipart/form-data' " from code

i've removed it from -
user.php
usersettings.php
storyeditor.php
upload.class.php
because my apache in this case don't encode such POST. (i know that now it won't include images in posts)

but when i've done this way geeklog removed all my posts and when i try enter "submit.php" it began to refresh plain .html with no content.

So I want to ask -
- if i done smth wrong?
- can you help me with this problem?
- and if there is any official russian localization file?

thx in advance.
Mike.

You've run into the same problem that has been discussed here before: There's a bug in Geeklog 1.3.6 that can delete all your stories when you're using an incomplete language file. This is fixed in 1.3.7rc1. And this is the "official" Russian language file - at least I don't know of any other Russion translation. The original translator hasn't updated this file for the current Geeklog version, so until someone else picks it up, it will remain incomplete ... bye, Dirk

I had tried to complete russian language file, but when upload and selected it, there is only spaces in place of interface phrases.. I've checked it many times and all seems to be ok.. I don't know what is the problem, help me please!

Look out for "parse error" messages. If you made a mistake and forgot a comma or a quote somewhere, Geeklog can't read the file and will not display any text at all ... bye, Dirk

Hi! I am going to use GeekLog. My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian. I can create complete localization files for both. Smile But just one little question: how can I cooperate with current team? I am not able (and it seems should not) to commit any changes to CVS Rolling Eyes Or I\'ll just get you links to localized files, when it will be completed?

That would be most welcome. Thank you.

There is a mailing list, geeklog-translations that you can join. And if you\'re done with a translation, simply send it in or upload it here on the site. I will then add it to CVS and the next release. bye, Dirk
