is there a url request I can use to display all stories (on the main page) with a particular title (wildcard or like)
eg "Weekend Results" ?

Not the using search box which gives the correct results but in a list form.

No sorry. The homepage returns just the latest articles flagged to appear on the homepage.

Since you are requesting a URL , couldn't you use a topic for this?

For example www.example.com/index.php?topic=some-topic

as it works off the root index.php file.
