To those of you interested I have been fooling around with Google Authorship Markup and at least according to the Google Rich Text Snippets testing tool I have got it to work with no real changes to Geeklog using the 3-Link Method.

The 3 link method works by linking the articles to the profile page and then having the Geeklog profile page linked to your Google+ account. Your Google+ account must also have a link back to your Geeklog profile page under the About tab in Google+, in the Links block, and by the Other Profiles section.

Geeklog's Author link already contains the rel="author" tag in the link to our profile page. So the only thing you need to add is the Google+ link on your Geeklog profile page like so:

PHP Formatted Code
<a href="https://plus.google.com/111111111111111111111?rel=author">Google+</a>

I added mine to the bio section. You will have to manual do this using phpmyadmin or something since Geeklog does strip out all html when saving.

Once you are finished all you need to do is test it by pasting one of your article urls in the Rich Text Snippets testing tool (http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets)

The only thing I am not sure it works well on is on pages that contain multiple articles like our topic pages. This would be a problem though using any authorship linking method.
