I upgraded to 1.8.2 and receive the following error:

256 - Template Error: set_root: /home/bbmt/public_html/layout/bbmt/tooltips is not a directory. @ /home/bbmt/bbmt_non_public_temp_name/system/classes/template.class.php line 992

array(1) {
["msg"]=>
string(73) "set_root: /home/bbmt/public_html/layout/bbmt/tooltips is not a directory."
}

I get this error under the following three conditions:

When I try to access the Plugins function in the Admin panel.
When I try to create or edit a Story.
When I try to create or edit a Static Page.

Additionally, when I access the Configuration function the left-hand options menu comes up but the options pages themselves fail to display. (See the following screen cap.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
~Bob

Update:

Found tooltips folder in Professional theme and copied it in.

Stories problem resolved.

Static pages Plugin no longer gives error and Static Page List displays properly but I can't Edit existing or Create New pages.

Still have Config problem.

Thanks,
~Bob

You certainly need to update your theme. What was your previous Geeklog version?

I updated the theme. I used the Professional theme from the GL8.1.2 install and added my custom images, thtml files and css files.

Story new/edit problem fixed.

Static Page List page loads and displays the list of Static Pages. When I try to Edit an existing Static Page or Create New the middle of the page disappears. The page footer moves up directly under the header with nothing in between.

Still get this when I try to access site Configuration:

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks much,
~Bob

FYI to anyone else who may be interested. Problem was in the footer.thtml.

Thanks Ben for pointing me in the right direction.

It is always better to keep the official theme, like this with big updates you can switch to it and work an your custom theme. You can also read more about update on the documention for themes.

Hey thanks Wayne. I had a pretty good teacher... with plenty of patience.

Nice hearing from you bud.
