Has somebody do this

I am trying to expost the geeklog to excel tab delimited file, and then import it with drupal, but I am sure there are better ways to dothis.

Another thing, where is the date of the article stored and how many hits it has?

The date and hits are stored in the gl_stories table. The fields are called, surprisingly, "date" and "hits"

bye, Dirk

Blaine tweeted here http://twitter.com/blainelang that he has a geeklog to drupal converter. Maybe contact him via twitter or at nextide.ca he will share it.

I've not written such a GL to Drupal story migration script but there are several generic migration tools available for Drupal that may do what you need. What I did develop was a quick drupal module to migrate the GL Forum content - but just to the point that it did what I needed.
