custom styling portal/rss feed

I am setting up a blog and want to do something a little out of the norm. If you go this site http://cpnanewsflash.com, then you'll see what I am talking about.
All of what I am about to discuss pertains to portal/rss feeds on the right
Elements of my mock-up appear there already. I want to have 3 rss/portal feeds, each with an artwork image in place of a title. The panel at the top is my first portal/rss feed. I inserted a "." as my title for now. I want to replace that with the artwork for Daily MakeOver, for example, and then replicate the steps for the other two feeds. Any help would be appreciated.
