Not sure what happened. I installed twitter block.. it was working great.. checked it in IE and Firefox. I didn't touch any files anywhere.. and then suddenly, it just quit working. Any ideas?

I double-checked configuration (still showing my userid correctly), tried uploading the plugin again (nothing) and tried disabling and reenabling the plugin (nothing). Any ideas what I could check?

Thanks,
Amy

Disregard the panic. Apparently, it was Twitter related and not my site related. Smile It's all working now. I realized this was likely the case when I noticed Twitter wasn't working in my wibiya bar either.

Thanks anyway!

There are also limits on the number of calls websites can make on Twitter.

See: http://support.twitter.com/forums/10711/entries/15364

I am not sure how the Twitter Block handles things once a limit is reached.

Twitter only allows 100 requests/IP/hour.
I ran into the same issue while testing, refreshing the site many times.
I would hit my limit and TB would disappear, but my partner could still see it on his end.

I don't think that's quite right. I used mass-follow.com for the first time a couple nights ago and I was able to send 1000 requests (the twitter daily limit) in less than 30 minutes. I went from 0 to just over 100 followers (950 following) in the first hour of signing up. I then deleted all the non-followers from that group the next day and did it again. In 2 30 minute twitter sessions, I now have 176 following... and requested a total of about 1600 people.

I appreciate the info on the disappearing though. It's been fine ever since the one "blackout".

Indeed, it does say that. Not sure how I was able to make so many requests. But oh well.. I'm not complaining. Smile
