strange characters after fresh installation

strange characters after fresh installation, same as ???????, ?????

It always happens to me in the installation's result page, but dissapears as soon as I surf elsewhere.

If it happens everywhere, did you make sure to either:
1) Enable UTF-8 in the installation and create a Unicode table.
2) Not enable UTF-8 in the installation and create a localized table.

What's the Geeklog version? What's your OS? Microsoft Windows? And what's your PHP version and MySQL version? And have you tried to delete all and install anew?

I am not sure you understood LWC's question. He asked if you did either option 1 or 2. In simple terms, choosing option 1 allows you to support multiple languages on your site. By choosing option 2 you would be mainly supporting your own language.

To be safe, I would go with option 1 since it can be a bit of a pain to switch over later (which I found out).
