Hello all
I hope someone will be able to help me

I have upgraded to the new GL but something seems to have gone wrong. Every time i need to save or edit a post it comes up with a blank page with "An SQL error has occurred. Please see error.log for details."

so i went to the error log and saw these line

Sun 10 May 2009 22:40:16 BST - 1054: Unknown column 'comment_expire' in 'where clause'. SQL in question: UPDATE gl_stories SET commentcode = 1 WHERE UNIX_TIMESTAMP(comment_expire) < UNIX_TIMESTAMP() AND UNIX_TIMESTAMP(comment_expire) <> 0


does this mean anything to any one. i am complete novice so cant fix this my self

Sounds like you didn't run the database upgrade. Please refer to the upgrading instructions.

I did try the instructions as best as I could for the upgrade. At the end it says its been done succesfully. So I dont understand what I might be doing worng. Can you help?

Hmm, running the install script in upgrade mode should take care of that problem.

Could you try again? Restore from a backup (just the database) and run the upgrade again.
