I have a problem with romanian language, the sistem is displaying ??? insted of some leters here is an EX:

How can I change this

Thanks

Which of the two Romanian language files are you using as the default language file? The one for iso-8859-2 or the one for utf-8? And how do you enter your text?

So can you enter those characters (the ones that show up as ???) directly (not using copy and past)? Do they then show up properly?

Well, I don't speak Romanian. I thought you did

What are those characters? My guess is that they are in the wrong encoding.

So it is GL 1.4.1 ? You are using utf-8 language files but you turned off utf-8 language support? That sounds strange.

Something's not consistent in your setup. After removing the default_charset from siteconfig.php, the database connection will no longer be using UTF-8. If characters are now showing up correctly, then that probably means that you weren't using UTF-8 in the first place.

Are you sure you're using the UTF-8 version of the Romanian language file?
