Call to undefined function: plg_invokeservice() - HELP!
Mike
Anonymous
I just upgraded from GL 1.4.1 to 1.5.2.
When I click on an article link, I'm getting the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: plg_invokeservice() in /home/consor5/public_html/standardsblog/article.php on line 112
After reading through a bunch of these posts and looking through the code, I understand that the staticpages plugin calls that function.
Why is this function undefined? Is it a path issue? Where is it being called from? lib-common.php?

Sounds like you didn't upload all the new files.
PLG_invokeService is actually in system/lib-plugins.php, so you need to update that file at the very least. Better double-check that you uploaded all the other files properly, though.
bye, Dirk

Dirk, thank you so much. Updating the lib-plugin.php did the trick.
So, the 1.4.1 version was installed by someone else several years ago. The install is a real mess. I just looked at GeekLog for the first time a few days ago, and this is clearly not a very clean install.
There seems to be two of everything. In the main "geeklog" directory, there's an admin directory, as well as a siteconfig.php, lib-common.php, and a system directory. All of these things also exist in the /public_html/ directory.
Everything is working, but I feel like this install really needs to be cleaned up.
Are you available for some consulting work next week? I'll send you an email in a few minutes to discuss. I think this site needs an expert like yourself to get it running perfectly.
Thanks again!

Sorry, I'm not available. But I'm sure if you ask here on the forums, someone else will be happy to help you out.
bye, Dirk
