remove mail function

I get a lot of message like this:
This is an email abuse report for an email message with the message-id of 200809010313.m813DkDj024499@domain.com received from IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx on Sun, 31 Aug 2008 23:22:18 -0400

How can i remove all email functons from the system.
I have tried remove 'smtp' in config.php:
$_CONF['mail_settings'] = array (
'backend' => ' ',

But it did not work.
I am afraid my server will be blacklisted.

Geeklog does not send out messages with this text. You should actually see a "X-Mailer: Geeklog 1.5.1" entry in the email's header if it really came from Geeklog.
