Hi!

I´ve installed Geeklog onto the following system:

* Geeklog 1.5.1rc1
* Windows Server 2003
* MySQL server 5.0
* PHP 4.x
* IIS

After some adjustments most of the things works but I´m having problem linking pictures in my articles. It´s no problem to upload them in the web article GUI.

The problem oocurs when you visit my site (http://zanders.nu) and ther you can se the picture holdes for the picture but not the picture itself!

If you check the source you will se that the "linking" is wrong: "<img width="120" height="90" src="http://pilsner.ath.cx/imagesarticles/20080919103952122_1.jpg" alt="">"

There is no "/" between "images" and "articles" and thats the problem!

In the admin area on configuration "site" my path is: "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\images\"

In not using any "Image library" either...

Does anyone know how I shoud get that extra "/" into my articles regarding images???

Regards,
Zeb

Not sure why this is happening for you. However, I notice your paths include backslash. That may have something to do with it, as the backslash is sometimes used as an escape symbol. Our recommendation has always been to use the (forward) slash as a path separator, even on Windows.

Is this a change you made or did our installer create these paths for you?

bye, Dirk

Well,

I think it was in the documentation I read that I should be as that in Windows since they are using \ as that.

I did a quick test and changed the path to the images in the configuration.php-file to using "/" and then geeklog ended up not even finding it´s own inbuilt icons in the articles (which it did find when I was using "\".

But I´ve not try to change every path to "\" on every configuration page, maybe I shoud try this but it don´t seems as a good idea.

Maybe I shoud try an older version av GL and not an "RC" instead?

You need to make sure that the paths are c:/inetpub/wwwroot/ for your geeklog root dir and complete paths for all the other dirs as well.

In geeklog 1.5 under the configuration tab, verify the following.

HTML Path c:/inetpub/wwwroot/public_html/
Log c:/inetpub/wwwroot/logs/
Language c:/inetpub/wwwroot/language/
Backup c:/inetpub/wwwroot/backups/
Data c:/inetpub/wwwroot/data/
Images c:/inetpub/wwwroot/public_html/images/
Path Pear c:/inetpub/wwwroot/system/pear/

You get the idea. That should set you up correctly. I run a windows 2K server and that should work for you on the paths.

Be sure to have on the physical dirs the permissions set for IUSR_MACHINE NAME set for read read/exec list folder content And then also write for the folders like Data, logs, public_html/images, etc etc. Re-read the docs to verify all the dirs that need write permissions. You may want to checkmark the script access in the IIS under that website.

See if that helps

Michael

I doesn't sound like a permissions problem - just something wrong with the paths. Since I'm not on Windows, I can't test it, though ...

Hello!

After some more try outs with my installation I did a brand new installation instead following the instructions that Michael gave me and now it´s working with the "images"! :-D Thnx!

But a new interesting problem has arrived (did also have this on the old installation), when I try to set an article to be deleted or archived automatically I get a really nice error telling me that Windows does not support negative values..., se down under:

---------------------------- Snipp ---------------------------------

An error has occurred:
(This text is only displayed to users in the group 'Root'Wink
2 - mktime() [function.mktime]: Windows does not support negative values for this function @ c:\inetpub\wwwroot\lib-common.php line 6045

The paramaters in the file "configuration.php"

- Locale: en_GB

Everything els is "Geeklog default" so to speak.

Idea´s anyone?

Perhaps I should start a new thread instead? ;o)
