I have an older geeklog that i have been unsuccessfully trying to upgrade for some time now and continue to get the same error. :banghead: I really just want to get my site back up.

Is it possible to do a fresh install and then just import the gl_stories table into the new database? It would seem simple enough to open the new database in a text editor and then copy and paste the appropriate data (from the old database) into the new database.

Obviously some information would be lost but if the image paths were all relative and you restored all the files to the right directories would this work?

The problem is that new Geeklog versions often add or change fields, so a direct import will usually not work. That's actually what the install script is supposed to do for you.

What are the problems you are running into with the upgrade? Maybe we can figure it out.
