I'm getting errors with those pictures on that page. The link is not correct:

The href is wrong:

Text Formatted Code

<a href="//index.php/Image:PluginInstallOverview.jpg"

Here's the direct URL http://wiki.geeklog.net/wiki/index.php/ImageRazzluginInstallOverview.jpg

I`d suggest to extract and move the files on your hard disk before you copy them over with ftp.

It would probably help if you could be a little more explicit about the problems you're having.

I mean, the forum does come with installation instructions and you've been given a diagram to help. So what are the problems you're having?

Here's the install instructions for mediagallery. I think these instructions are a bit clearer than that graphic above. Just substitute forum where ever it says mediagallery. Hopefully this will give you a better feel for how Geeklog and its plugins are laid out.

That appears to be a problem that the forum has with "foreign" character sets. A quick search for that error message turns up previous discussions of the issue, e.g. this one.

Does this question have anything to do with the rest of this thread?

You create an empty database, then run Geeklog's install script, which creates the tables. But from the look of things, you're way past that point, so I'm not sure what you're asking here ...

Are you logged in as a different user to the user that posted the message to the forum?

If you are not logged in then how can the site track who has read what :speechless:

You need to be logged in and not the user that posted the message to see the icons change to indicate un-read/read topics/forums.
