No notification when user submits or edits a story

Hi,

I have entered the "story" into the notification array, but for some reason, I don't ever get any notice when one of the people I allow to post a story does so.

This is what I have:

$_CONF['notification'] = array ('user', 'story', 'comment', 'trackback', 'pingback'Wink;

I get notices for everything but the story. Very weird. Any ideas?

Thanks

I do believe that notifications are for submissions through the submit queue. Anyone you've given story.edit to skips the submit queue. I could be wrong as I don't use the submit queue myself.

Notifications are only sent for stories submitted via submit.php. Stories created from the admin's story editor (admin/story.php) do not send notifications.

You can give users only the story.submit permission instead of making them Story Admins, in which case they would not be able to use the admin's story editor any more, but their stories would still be published directly - and you would get the notification.

bye, Dirk
