I'm not sure why this is happening but I've discovered a very annoying bug when using the advanced editor in the latest version of GL. I often edit in "source" mode when editing static pages. When I save it, and load the pages, the whole things is screwed up, tables in the wrong place, stuff waked out all over the place.

I discovered if I edit in just the html mode, rather than switching to 'source mode' in the advanced editor, it save the information fine and the pages display fine.

Something nuts happens when using the source mode of the advanced editor in static pages. It doesn't happen all the time either. But it seems when it does happen, if I just use the HTML formated editor to edit on the code level rather than source in advanced editor, and save, it works fine.

There is one more strange thing. I noticed it happens when the page is fairly big. One thing I did that also worked was to copy the code into dreamweaver and remove all the indenting the editor puts in. Make all the code flush left. The copy and paste it back into geeklog and it fixes all the problems. Wonder if there's a way to turn off the indenting of code in the editor?

I think I've discovered why this problem is happening. There seems to be a size limit to static pages. The page that this happens to is a very large static page. When I trimmed it back, deleted some items, suddenly it all works fine. Must be some size limit on static pages.

The is a limit to the size of the static pages due to the database.
