I can't see some icons in the Admin panel

Hello friends:

I have Geeklog 1.4.1 with Smooth Blue theme, and I have fixed some bugs of this theme.

In the control panel of Admin, some icons like docs or syndication not show because the url for that icons is: ....../Smooth_Blue/images/icons/syndication.gif and ......//Smooth_Blue/images/icons/docs.gif.

The files syndication.gif and docs.gif not exists in images/icons directory because the REAL icons that it will must show is syndication.png and docs.png.

Please, I need to know how are the file that I can modify for change "gif" by "png".

I have to use <grep -R 'docs.gif' *> in the root directory of Geeklog for find any file that contains docs.gif and it not returns results. The same occurs with the name of the others icons that I can't view.

Thanks.

The theme can override the image type to use for the icons. The default is GIF images. The Professional theme, for example, has this in its functions.php file:

Text Formatted Code
$_IMAGE_TYPE = 'png';

Depending upon where you downloaded the theme from has a bearing on its content and who updated it. I have an archive of most of the images in both gif and png format listed on my site at spacequad.com. Michael

Dirk: My functions.php file of Smooth Blue theme is an empty file, but adding that line now I can see the icons in the Admin panel, but ironmax have reason..., some icons like blocks options is hidden.

Ironmax: Thanks for your file, I will copy your png and gif files in the directories.

Really the Admin page (Submissions) not work correctly..., in the Story submissions, or Calendar submissions, or Links submissions, the Submit button don't work!!!. I make click in the button but nothing occurrs.

What can be?.

Thanks.

Are you selecting approve or delete before the submit? If not, try that. Otherwise it does work on the demo site. That is the exact copy I have up for download.

Yes Michael..., I previously select approve or delete and then click in Submit button, but nothing occurrs...

If I configure Geeklog for Professional theme, it works good!!, but when I configure Geeklog for Smooth Blue theme, the Submissions page not work.

I'm observed that when I select the checkbutton "Select or de-select all items", an javascript error occurs:

Line: 306
Character: 1
Error: An object was expected
Code: 0
URL: ............./admin/moderation.php

I think that this page load with any error, but the navigator aid not to solve it.

Thanks.

Michael, I have installed MediaGallery, and when I go to create an new album, this error occurrs:

An error has occurred:
2 - fopen(/home/www/grupomunicipalsocialistadehuelva.org/html/mediagallery/rss/mgmedia.rss) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permiso denegado @ /home/www/grupomunicipalsocialistadehuelva.org/html/mediagallery/classes/feedcreator.class.php line 725

array(2) {
["filename"]=>
string(80) "/home/www/grupomunicipalsocialistadehuelva.org/html/mediagallery/rss/mgmedia.rss"
["displayContents"]=>
int(0)
}

(This text is only displayed to users in the group 'Root'Wink

The error is because the file mgmedia.rss not exists, and I not find this file in all plugins directory. You can test this error in my site.

Thanks.

Fossy,

The Media Gallery error is a permission problem. Media Gallery needs to be able to write to the mediagallery/rss/ directory. See the Required Directory Permissions documentation at the Media Gallery wiki.

Thanks!

Return email sent. Basically you need to update your theme by downloading the update from http://www.spacequad.com/filemgmt/index.php?id=432

And the RSS issue is a permission not set correctly.

Thanks for all!!!!

Now all works good!!, but I have only an new question... Oops!

When I enabled the "Album Enrollment" block, nothing appears in Geeklog, but when I enabled the "Random Image" block, it shows perfectly!!, why?....

Michael: I have not changed the password, in case you want to enter.

Thanks and sorry to make too many questions.

For the album enrollment block to display, a couple of things have to be in place.

First, make sure you have Member Albums enabled in the Media Gallery Administration Screen (Member Album Options link).

Second, if you already have an album, the enrollment block will not display. I'm willing to bet your login already has an album, so it won't show for you. Have you tried creating a 'test user' that looks like a normal user of your site and does it display for them?

Thanks!

Thanks.
