Read the installation instructions agan, specifically the bit about public_html and not placing certain files in your document root.

Hi Dirk,

I'm always amazed at how efficient you guys are. I read the public_html info and I was wondering, for argument's sake, would what the second "anonymous" suggested about trying to change the permissions using CHMOD, would that work?

Thanks,
Aleem
Geeklog is the best. ------ Yes, I know. I should change my name to conehead. :-)

Nope. If you change the permissions such that the directories are not accessible from the web, then they wouldn't be accessible from PHP either and Geeklog would stop working.

If you absolutely can not move those directories outside the webroot, follow these instructions: Installing Geeklog entirely within the web root

bye, Dirk
