It is in the admin panel. When you are logged in as admin, there should be an "Admin Menu" with "polls" and "static pages" listed. If you click on them, you will get a list of the existing polls or static pages and the opportunity to add a new one. Are you logging in as Admin?

See Joe's post above ...

The screenshot you posted is for the Plugins panel where you can install/uninstall plugins. That's the wrong place.

If you want to create a static page, select "Static Pages" from the "Admins Only" block (left side) or go to "Submissions" and click on the "Static Pages" icon there. You will then get a list of all existing static pages (probably none at this point) and above that list is an option to create a new one.

That's how all the Admin panels work - for stories, for the calendar, etc.

It surely can't be that hard to find?

bye, Dirk

Actually Dirk look at the administrator menu listed in his JPG. There is no polls or staticpages menuitem. Something is wrong with his permissions or the Admin account is not the real root account.

ProRock, this means that the Admin account you are logged in as does not have rights to admin those sections. Make sure the "Root Group" has all features checked and that Admin is a member of that group.

For trouble shooting you should use the standard "professional" theme!!!

You shouldn't have to do this. Something is obviously wrong with your database.

If this is a fresh install, I'd suggest you start over fresh, i.e. re-install everything.

bye, Dirk

P.S. Sorry about missing the point in the above post Oops!
