Email sending problem in Geeklog

My site can still send emails through the forum (notifying of replies, etc..) and I get admin emails for submissions but if I try to email a user or myself (admin) using the send email form in User Profile I get the following error:

Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 550 unknown user in C:\Inetpub\MySiteDomain\system\pear\Mail\mail.php on line 113

Any ideas why it would error out here?

I fixed my issue. It was a permissions problem. I had to set geeklog for smtp mail with auth on. I had changed some settings on my mail server a while back which I assumed resulted in my problem. Not sure why emailing was working for some things and not others.
