Dear All,

I am installing the Forum plugin. I think I have followed the instructions and managed to see the plugin icon inside the Admin panel with a link 'install'. After clicking on the install link, I was shown a page where there is a button to proceed with installation. The moment I hit the button, nothing happen. No error message or continuation. I have been trying it for a week now and still could not resolve. Can I anybody help me?

Thanks.

Rgds.

The plugin requires you to have register_globals = on

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for your prompt reply. But, in which file?

It's a setting on your webserver. See the FAQ for details.

bye, Dirk

Hey,

Sorry for all the troubles. Found it already. I'm going to try the installation again. Will keep you updated.

I'm still new with this Geeklog. Smile

Thanks.

I was having the same problem and changing the register_globals variable solved it for me as well. Is register_globals=On required only for the installation or is it required for the forum plugin to function properly?

I understand that it's more secure to have it set to Off, in fact it might have been the geeklog install (or maybe it was SquirrelMail) that pointed this out to me when i did an install check.
