upgrade 1.4.0 Beta

I need an explanation!
I'm running Geeklog 1.4.0 Beta1 and i want to upgrade
to the latest release.
In the complete tarball of 1.4.0 release i found in docs directory
changed-files with a list o changed file in the new version
After Backup etc... May i only change these files to upgrade my version?

That file contains only the changes over the second release candidate (1.4.0rc2).
There were no database changes since the beta, so upgrading would simply mean to replace all the files (no need to run the install script afterwards).
