Just moved a site from my own server to a hostingprovider.
Everything works, except from installing plugins.
Tried both forum, chatterblock and some more..
When clicking on the install-link the page hangs for some secounds and then returns a page who sais: The plugin is not installed. And along with that the install-button...
Can someone help me

Please report what, if anything, your error log has recorded.

Nothing in the error.log from this.
Now I tried to update the GUS-plugin, that went ok..
But now it does not collect stats. Checked all configs..
Strange, what could be the big difference?
Ive always run windowsserver, now Ive switched to a *nix..
For all Ive heard its windows that sucks! Laughing

EDIT:
When looking a bit closer GUS are actually collecting stats, but does not show it in the frontpage-block..
Could this be that some functions in php.ini on the server are configured differently than by the previous server I used?
In that case, could this affect installation of plugins and the functions?
I use latest versions where register_globals and that are fixed.
I se in phpinfo that register_globals=off but register_long_arrays=on.
Safe_mode=off

Confused Leaves me speechless

Many plugins, including the forum, still require register_globals to be "on" ...

bye, Dirk
