Restoring stories after starting over

Hi,

I've done it: I've totally banged up my geeklog install... By testing stuff and upgrade after upgrade i now have a horrible instance of geeklog.
It runs but does not let me post new stories, as admin it claims i don't have the right :-)...

Instead of solving this and other small problems, i just want to start over... So i'm planning a clean 1.4 install, adding my theme.

The question is, how do I migrate my stories? I don't want to copy 'n paste the txt, a restore of selective tables seems tricky. Maybe I will be restoring my problems as well.

So how to migrate stories safely from one version of geeklog to the next. (1.3.x to the newest 1.4)

Regards,

Zokahn

You will have to look at the database structure for both versions and write sql statements to move the data. phpmyadmin will help with this task.

Very Happy Wow that´s a neat Geeklog feature!

No, i´m just kidding... I love geeklog and i´ve been loving it for years.

However it does seem a bit hefty to poke around in the bare tables. If I have to I will. If I do something wrong I can always reinstall again. Maybe this can be a feature in a future geeklog version...
Exporting the userdata only:

Stories, events, polls, etc etc...

Ahhh well, mothers hide your dauhters... I´m going SQL :-)

Thanks,

Zokahn
