what exactly to change in lib_database

Hi, I think I've almost gotten this system fully functional. I know that to share user information across sites to enable one login you have to change entries in the lib_database file. I'm just not sure exactly how to make the changes. Presently, my 3 sites have a prefix of "gl" "ep" and "sp". If I have the line listed below and I want to share the information that's in the gl_users part of the shared database, how would I change this line a an example:
$_TABLES['users'] = $_DB_table_prefix . 'users';
I've tried searching for the answer, but for some reason I can never find what I'm looking for in a search (multiple times I've found out later that the information I need is already posted!!) Thanks a thousand percent for any assist!

well first of all your gona have to do just more than user table shareing. your also gona have to share groups and fetures and what not so permisons work
you can hardcode the prefix to just use one prefix no mater what site is hit per table
