curious
I have come to an obvious conclusion that the easiest way to stop the hit-and-run spambots it to simply rename comment.php to something they won't be looking for ... c0mment.php for instance.

I've found the reference to comment.php in article.php and in lib-common.php but I'm still blowing up the system when trying to get the 'new' comment system running after renaming comment.php...

What other files should I be looking in to change comment.php's name in GL 1.3.9??

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give somebody who's too stubborn to upgrade! Wink

Well, stubbornness has paid off! I discovered that the .thtml files under html/layout/(theme)/comment needed to be updated.

No more roaming SPAMBOTS to annoy me! Now I can go back and activate the comment system in my stories again. I'M SO HAPPY! Chest-Slam Celebration
