I have updated to 1.4 and I want to enable the fck editor for stories and comments. I am using and old theme so it needed updating. The fckeditor worked fine with the professional theme. I followed the instructions here:

http://www.geeklog.net/article.php?story=advanced-editor&query=fckeditor

I enabled the editor in the config.php file and I copied

storyeditor_advanced.thtml
commentform_advanced.thtml
submitstory_advanced.thtml

from the professional theme to my theme to the appropriate spots. When I go to add a story or comment the editor tries to load but I get the following java script error:

Line 12
Char 9
FCKEditor undefined
Code 0

I also checked the header template and added {advanced_editor} to it since I saw it in the professional theme header.

What am I missing?

Thanks

There are a number of header.thtml new template variable changes for older themes. Check that {plg_headercode} is now in your theme.

I put that in their as well when I added the other stuff and no change.

When I look at the source of the home page I notice that no code is added in replace of these tags. Is this the problem?

There have been quite a lot of changes lately with the theme and I couldn't seem to easily keep track of it.

For me the easiest way is to use the Professional theme as the base and customize it with the other theme's (in your case an old theme's) features.

Fixed my problem, I was missing the file advanced_editor_header.thtml
in the root of the theme directory.
