Try reading the included installation instructions and if you can't get it work, please provide more information: What did you do? What happened? What did you expect to happen? etc.

I also have problem with intalling forum 2.5.
The forum is installed BUT - an error message comes up when I'm trying to reach it in the Admin menu.
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '../lib-common.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /admin/plugins/forum/index.php on line...
How do I do that correct?

These problems appear to me to be caused by the files being copied into the wrong directories - assuming there are no issues with the standard GL admin features.

There is no problem with the rest of the Admin table but this error message still commes up when I try to reach Forum
Warning: main(): Unable to access ../lib-common.php in /admin/plugins/forum/index.php on line 37
I have really tried to figure it out.
(I have gone through the install instructions twice...)

Are you saying that you can access the admin functions ok and have created a forum category and forum ok. But when you access the public_html or member access you get this error ?
If so, that error you posted is indicating you copied the public_html files into the admin folder - which is wrong.

I was having the same problem and I was getting the above exact error.
Here is what I was doing wrong:
It was a bad path in geeklog.inc.
I had the path to the forum/dir instead of pointing to geeklog/directory.
I wasted about 4 hours installing and resinstalling the bridge.

To clarify: The above was about Blaine's Forum plugin. You seem to be talking about the phpBBBridge. Those are two different plugins.
Just in case someone comes across this discussion some day and is confused ...
