I'd like to keep the date in the header greeting, but eliminate the date. How can I do this?

I'd like to keep the date in the header but eliminate the time.

That date is formatted according to the user's preferred date format (from their preferences). It uses the format specified by $_CONF['date'] by default and for anonymous users.
