GUS: Link not showing in User Functions Block

I installed the GUS plugin into a fresh install of Geeklog 1.3.11sr3 and it looks like everything was installed properly. However I only get the Who's Online Block. No link to it comes up in the user functions block. I have the same problem with my forum installation. The install is successful I get no errors, but no link shows up in the user functions block. Please help. I have a sneaky suspection that these problems are related.
