I've made a rating library for Geeklog. Any plugin or core code can call it with a single function call and get a row of links for a user to record a rating, or a number/row of stars if the user has already rated.
Ratings are deleted when the user is deleted, etc. if other core files are modified. If anyone is interested in incorporating this into the next release of GL, or just using what I have done so far, please email me or reply here. This still needs a little work, but is functioning well as far as I can see. Could use some input from core developers if possible.
