Altering config.php does not later forum html

Thanks a lot for this wonderful application. I need a little bit of help ...

I tried in the config.php but removing lines there does not seem to affect forum ....
I want only the smiliies and bold tag and font color to be allowed as html allowed.
Can you kindly guide me to the necessary file ?

I thought it does affect the forum too. Am I wrong?

The forum has an option to either use its own HTML filter or Geeklog's.
