Hello guys!

There's nothing wrong with Inmemoriam, but I have this error from GD:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6144 bytes) in /home/www/web27/jonasgeeklog/system/pear/Image/Transform/Driver/GD.php on line 148

I guess I need to tell the guy that owns the Linux machine to increase the memory allocation possibilities for GD? Right?

Any one knows what I should tell him to alllow. My largest jpegs are ~3MB.

Your memory limit needs to be larger than your post_max_size. Both can be set in your php.ini.
You should be able to change your memory_limit using an .htaccess file depending upon your server, but if not then talk to your host about having the limit increased--16M is a good number.
