I am looking for some help updating some of the php files for the weather plug-in.

I have been trying to fix some of the problems that I have been running into.

I have been surfing some of the other geeklog sites and have seen the same problems.

First is the Forecast graphics on some days showing up as broken links when it shows as unparsed. I see this problem was first tracked down in Dec. of 2003.

I notice that it is mostly a problem with snow related weather.

Also I see that most people are having the broken image on the Watch and warning page.

This seems to be a problem with the noaa site restricting the image file. wwa_thumbnail.jpg link http://www.nws.noaa.gov/images/wwa_thumbnail.jpg

This now comes up as a Apache Forbidden error.
You don't have permission to access /images/wwa_thumbnail.jpg on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
If anyone has any code that they have used to fix these problems please post it here or let me know.

The watch image's URL has changed. Go into the config.php in your plugins/weather folder. Find the comment that says

// Where is the Watch/Warning thumb image?

Replace the url below it with this:

$WWA_IMAGE_SM = "http://www.nws.noaa.gov/wwa_map/wwa_thumbnail.jpg";

I need to read up on the snow image and moon phase stuff.
