Why does some formatting not work?

I can't seem to get bold or underlining to work in my posts. I've tried 3 different blogger clients, the TinyMCE integration, and manually adding the HTML tags around the works. But when it posts, the formatting is removed. Interestingly, italics fork fine. Any ideas what might my causing this? If you want to try yourself, visit http://monopedilos.com and post a comment.
