Hi, I am trying to create a menu named "newsletter".
Basically, Admin or group could upload the .doc files so that users can download those files. I didn't see any blocks related to this and don't know how to create one. So, I created a "topic" named "newsletter".
As far as I can tell, the only way to post something to the Newsletter is by clicking on the "Get Published" (oh btw, I am using the Xsilver theme and this link/button shows on the top). I can select the category Newsletter to post but then that page does not give an option to upload the files.

Can someone please help?

There are several plugins available that provide ways to upload things: The File Management plugin (which is used for the Downloads area here on geeklog.net), Easyfile, Machinari's Upload, and the Uploader in Tom Willet's Admin Toolbox.
