I'm looking for a hack which would allow me to put an advertisement after 3 or 4 articles. It doesn't need to be a static page centerblock but I was thinking that would be the easiest.

Anyone know how to do this?

You would have to modify index.php, since there are no hooks to inject something between stories.

I know a little about php but not much. I've taken a look at the index file and have no idea what I'm looking at. Is there anyone who could help me out with this hack? It would be greatly appreciated!

Near the end of the file, there are 2 calls to STORY_renderArticle(). The first one is for the featured story, the second one is in a while loop and displays the other stories. You would have to add a counter there and inject your code after the 3rd story (or something like that).

It's now officially confirmed that I don't know what the hell I'm doing... and I don't really have the time to learn unfourtunately...

Would it be OK if the add would be placed between the first and second article?

No I need an ad after the 3rd and 6th articles, same code. Either by pulling a static page or by entering the html into the code somehow.
