adding links or pics to block?

I know this might be a very dumb question..but I wanna know how to add a link or a picture to a block.. or a picture link.. can anyone give me the code or tell me what to do?? or can I do it in HTML? sorry I don't know much as my dad installed geeklog for me.. Banging your head please help!

Create a "normal block", enter HTML ... Simple as that.

You can put normal HTML in the sideblocks.
