where is the safest place to put that php backup script?

where is the safest place to have it backup files to as well?

Somewhere outside of the document root.



Geeklog's "backups" directory would come to mind. At least that's where we keep our backups.

Of course, the safest place for a backup is somewhere other than on the server itself, so make sure to download the backups regularly.
