Anybody looked into Flickr enough to know if including flickr images will ever be possible in a block? I just found flickr, so please don't flame me if its proprietary and not-possible or what not. A search for the term "flickr" here turned up naught so I figured I'd post. It *is*pretty slick.

Well, I have already found out that they offer a neat little utility to "build" a little HTML block that can be placed in a block, so this post is sort of a waste except that some might find it a much easier way to get photos on their geeklog site than installing gallery (which is awesome and this post is not meant to disparage that great script driven photo engine at all)

Yesterday I made a static page that uses flickr's api based on Ramon Darrow Wordpress plugin
http://www.worrad.com/archives/2005/01/08/flickr-gallery-07/

You can see it here: .http://www.bangm.dk/staticpages/index.php?page=20050107155303751

Right now it is hardcoded to fit my needs. But if somebody it interested I can public it.

This one of the google widgets to display flikr from user chalkhillian, change every 60 seconds, display 4-up in a block on geeklog. Paste the full script into a block and voila. Any of the 1500+ widgets install quite easily as scripts in blocks (if they fit) - I also use a google community calendar widget at here

Text Formatted Code
