Integrating Search with Gallery?

I'm not very good with PHP but I'm building a site for someone who needs the Geeklog search function to search Gallery also (the Gallery is not integrated). I've looked through search.php and search.class but I haven't been able to figure out how to make Geeklog Search read the Gallery SQL as well as the Geeklog SQL.

Can anybody point me in the right direction? I'd really rather not put in a seperate search engine if Geeklog is capable of doing it.
