Add the leading brackets to the following code and the post goes blank.
QUOTE BY= SmackDaddy ]
I am not understanding what you are saying, so I will ask....
You are saying the following?
QUOTE BY= SmackDaddy]
1. phpAdsNew, when installed, can be bridged into Geeklog right "out of the box"?
/QUOTE]
There is no bridge. They are two totally seperate programs.
QUOTE BY= SmackDaddy]
2. When phpAdsNew is installed and working, your Geeklog users' log-in will work for the phpAdsNew log in if they want to be someone who wants to put ads on your GeekLog site?
/QUOTE]
You have to give a specific and seperate login/password in phpAdsNew. However, if you know the login/password of the geeklog user, you could create a phpAdsNew account with that information.
These two programs are so different, and aimed at different users. phpAdsNew is not just a banner management program, but a full flegded publisher/advertiser program.

Perhaps if you close all the open QUOTE tags it will work like this:
If you don't close all the open QUOTE tags it will not work, I am not sure if this is considered a bug or user error.
Yes I am mental.

Your very first quote was not closed.
Have a look at your sample again
I am not understanding what you are saying, so I will ask....
You are saying the following?
QUOTE BY= SmackDaddy]
The very first is not closed in your sample anywhere.
Are you sure that that is not the issue ?

If I close the quotes in the sample code, then the post dissappears, thats I why I did not close them. If you look at my first post it says:
Add the leading brackets to the following code and the post goes blank.
??????????????????????

What knuff means is that for every (quote) there must be a closing (/quote).
So if you have (quote)(quote)...(/quote) then the post disappears because you forgot a second closing (/quote).
The forum could certainly handle this more gracefully, but you're still feeding it with defective input to start with ...
bye, Dirk

No, it still renders a blank post. Just try it, don't guess about it.

JesusChrist,
I think you need to clarify what you mean then.
If you look at the original post and follow the instructions ['Add the leading brackets...'], there is still a missing (/quote) at the end of that text. This will make the post disappear.
Once you add the final (/quote), you'll get the quoted text as in drshakagee's post.

I don't think Dirk makes guesses.
Since it is obvious that no one can reproduce the error (see below working proper cuz it has the closing quote tag) perhaps you should take a moment.
