I would like to have amazon plugin's on my new site to offer the procuts being reviewed and rated on the site. Can someone with experience with this plugin tell me where you can use it and how hard it is to use/install/etc.

Which Amazon plugin? There's an old one - not sure if it works - and mine. At the moment, mine is just for searching Amazon and producing results within your site. In my opinion it's easy to use and quite simple to install
